On February 27, 2007, Joseph D. Koutnik's lawyers filed this petition for the Supreme Court to agree to consider the limits on prisons for censoring inmates' outgoing mail. In this instance, a prisoner used a swastika as part of criticism of the prison system. I originally blogged about this case on August 14, 2006. Jon Katz.
